As summer winds down, there's plenty of creative magic happening in the studio. There are some exciting updates to share, brand new artworks to show you, and some fun events in the works.

I'm genuinely excited to share the pieces I've finished recently. For one, the fact that I'm actually finishing work with a thriving 6 month old, in between naps and nursing and running on around 3 hours of sleep every night, feels like I deserve a medal, LOL.

There's so much on the horizon, and I feel like we're moving gracefully along with the monsoon thunderheads across the open plains. Plenty of obstacles jarring us like lightning strikes as well, but as long as we are healthy and have a roof over our head to make art, love each other, and tell stories under, we'll be ok.

Family News

Regis had a solo show Friday night at the OT Circus Gallery, and we are so fulfilled that we got to chat with so many new and old friends that made their way to Downtown Albuquerque. He has also started his NEW JOB as the 8th grade Art Teacher at the ASK Academy, and we just couldn't be more thankful and proud of him!

Elora and I have been busy at the house, growing and learning, and I've gotten some good chunks of painting and work done during her naps! We're also trying to pack things up and work with our new realtors to sell this house and move closer to Regis' school. To say that this new schedule is pretty intense is an understatement, especially since I'm out here with no family/village support. But I'm strong and stubborn, and often times good things come from my persistence. My biggest hope is that we'll find a place to live that maybe I can find a mom friend or two, a gym with childcare, and some pretty trees to sit under.

Guardian of the Rooted Path — On Display in Colorado

This month, my giant 4ft x 5ft work, "Guardian of the Rooted Path" is on display at Sweetgrass Therapeutics in Alamosa, Colorado while they host a few community events. It's looking for a home, and I'm so happy it can meet so many new eyeballs in this place! Help me make wishes that it finds the right space to land!

Vision Train: Gathering Momentum Fundraiser

Vision Train has been having a 6 week long fundraiser we're calling Gathering Momentum! We are working to raise $33,333 to sustain the infrastructure that helps our global ecosystem flourish! I have been involved with this group of amazing creatives for 6 years now, and I've seen it change so many lives, including my own. This is a space where I've been able to show up for myself, learn how to speak confidently about my artwork and my passions, host workshops, conduct interviews, make lasting friendships and connections with like minds all over the world — accessibly from my own home studio! I also run the social medias for the organization, helping to amplify others on their path!

Sunflower Festival — End of the Month!

The Annual Mountainair Sunflower Festival is coming up at the end of the month, and I'm getting things together to have a beautiful vending booth! This will be my first attempt with Elora as a part of the sales team — luckily Regis will be taking care of her for most of the day. So far, every event we've done as a family, she seems to enjoy people, music, and the stir of social gatherings!

I have a great accumulation of prints, stickers, pins, greeting cards, small originals and posters that I'll be showing up with. Excited!

New Paintings — Wow, I Actually Finished Things!

Three small paintings made specifically for the Sunflower Festival will also be available on my website. I know it's been a little while since I've had any new originals available.

BIG CAT ENERGY — a long time coming! This piece is an altar decoration with plenty of tarot symbolism to remind one what intentions they are actively bringing into their life. It is a beautiful original acrylic applied using the mischtechnik on a three piece Trekell birch wood panel, with hinges so that it opens and closes — perfect for placing candles, coins, feathers, crystals and other special items in front of.

Print Update

HEADS UP: All "Drop Ship" Canvas and Paper Prints have been discontinued. Going forward, I will be offering special larger format Signed Limited Edition prints only. There will still be greeting/post cards and other merch available, but I'm looking forward to upgrading the way prints are sold — stay tuned for exclusive drops!
